What Is Engineered Wood Parquet Flooring?
Engineered wood parquet flooring is a multi-layer wood floor laid out in the parquet design. The engineered wood is made up of three layers: the first layer is a stabilising back layer, the core layer is made up of either plywood, high-density fibreboard (HDF) or softwood, and the final top layer is made up of solid veneer wood. Due to this top layer, engineered wood parquet flooring looks and feels just like real solid wood. Our engineered wood flooring is suitable for many rooms across the home. Even in rooms that are susceptible to changing temperatures and humid conditions, engineered wood parquet flooring is more stable than solid wood and won't expand as much in these types of rooms.

Parquet Engineered Wood Patterns
The parquet flooring design is a versatile pattern that can be used in many rooms across the home. Whether your home follows a modern style or you prefer the more traditional look, parquet flooring is both elegant and sophisticated and is a design that will never look out of date. Parquet engineered wood flooring comes in multiple parquet patterns, including:
Herringbone Engineered Wood Flooring
Herringbone engineered wood flooring is a classic parquet style that looks stunning throughout the home. Each engineered wood plank is set in rectangles at a 90-degree angle, creating a broken triangle effect. This design comes in a range of colours, all of which resonate with a real oak effect.
Chevron Engineered Wood Flooring
Chevron engineered wood flooring is another timeless parquet flooring style that is popular within homes. This design is cut in planks at 45-degree angles, creating a running V pattern or otherwise known as a continuous zigzag effect. This design works great in smaller rooms as it creates an elongated effect, making the room feel larger due to the impression of flow this flooring pattern creates.
Dutch Parquet Engineered Wood Flooring
Dutch pattern is a classic parquet basket weave pattern that draws from the traditional parquet found in Dutch castles and mansions dating back more than 200 years with the twist of natural and modern colour tones made by hand by master craftsmen.

Like solid wood flooring, engineered parquet wood flooring can be sanded down and refinished if scratches or dents appear from dropped objects or furniture being dragged.
