Solid Wood Flooring Surface Textures
Our solid wood floors come with either a smooth or textured surface. Find out more about the differences between a smooth or textured surface solid floor.
Textured Solid Flooring
A wonderful textured effect solid wood floor can be created by treating each board with a wire brush. The finish gives it a deeper, more pronounced grain and makes the wood a little more resistant to scratches. This finish often combined with a Matt Lacquer or a Natural Oil.
Distressed Solid Flooring
Distressed floors offer a unique, aged appearance. The process is labour intensive and time consuming, involving carefully scraping and bashing the floor but it's worth it for the beautiful aged effect at the end. This unique finish gives a real depth of character.
Smooth Solid Flooring
Smooth boards give a real unique element to your wood floor. All of the boards are exactly the same in regards to the surface texture, but each boards still has a different grain to the next, making these floors uniform but one-of-a-kind.
