Karndean's heritage is rooted in Mike Walker's discovery during a jog in the UK's Clent Hills with his Great Dane, Smokey. Spotting workers felling a tree, Mike was intrigued by the unique markings and grains of the aged, cracked wood. With permission, he took the wood home, inspiring Karndean's original Oak Royale collection.
