Questions & Answers

I have been reading the warranty terms which advises me that if there is a fault with the product I have to deal with Poland. Surely this cannot be right. Please advise

Hi David, This is the manufacturer's warranty, and the manufacturers of this particular floor (Barlinek) are based in Poland. They don't happen to have UK offices, but you are still completely covered and you can still communicate any warranty concerns to them.

Hi I have an existing engineered board floor which is about 10mm thick. Can I use this as the sub floor or do I need to take it back to the chipboard under?

Hi Jayne, If the subfloor you're using is dry, flat, even and load bearing then in theory yes it should be fine to use. However, we usually recommend removing the old and replacing with new - much like you would with wallpaper or ceramic tiles.

hello stefano, the natura foam underlay comes for free and it does offer some sound reduction. However, it is not the best for sound reduction, for this purpose I would recommend the gold underlay which has an acoustic reduction of up to 22db. Does this floor require glue for installatio ?

Hi I purchased this flooring form you several years ago and now wish to purchase a further 50m2. The previous flooring was 15mm thick, bar code 5906737902813. I note the product is now advertised as 14mm. is this product the same as the original I purchased? Thanks

Yes it is in every way except the 1mm thickness as you say. The difference in the thickness is on the revers of the board so these two products will fit together and the face (the bit you walk on) will be flush. When this product changed from 15mm to 14mm we had many many calls regarding this issue and to my knowledge it didn't cause any problems at all.

Can this product be used in a kitchen

Lee we must say this is a very common question. The Oak Kerry can be used in a kitchen however, being a wood floor it is not waterproof so any spillages etc... must be cleaned up in a reasonable amount of time. We would certainly suggest that if you want a real wood floor that a lacquered floor is preferred like the Kerry. Can engineered flooring be used in bathrooms

Once joined together can would these floorboards create a floating floor and can they be laid directly on to floor joists. Many thanks

Yes this product is design to be a floating floor but it isn't load barring, which means it cannot go directly over joists. Subfloor prep for this product is: dry, flat and even subfloor which is load barring. We do have within our portfolio engineered flooring that is load barring which is our Ironbark range. Can I use underfloor heating with this product?

Does finance affect my ability to return goods?

No, returns are still accepted according to our Terms and Conditions provided you cancel within 30 days of placing your order.
