What does this mean for you? It gives you the option to have the same floor throughout your home, even if you have different subfloors in different rooms.
The gluedown designs are a great option if your subfloor is flat, dry and even. They're also a good choice if you want to add extra features to personalise your floor, like design strips or borders. You also have more freedom in how you can lay the boards, with optional laying patterns.
The rigid core format is designed for where the subfloor may be uneven, and it's also super easy to install, so if you're a confident DIYer, you'll have no trouble installing this. These floors also have added acoustic benefits due to the k-core backing, so they're a good option if you're looking to reduce sound.
The great thing about this launch is that Karndean have released the same decors in the two different installation formats. So, if one of your rooms will benefit from the rigid core option, but you want a border in the next room, you can have the same colour and style of floor, without having to take the extra time and spend the extra money on preparing the subfloor.
The hand-crafted floors were designed to replicate European oak and some of the new range feature a new ‘wood grain emboss’ which accentuates the natural inspired features of the floor. The Karndean Van Gogh Salvaged Barnwood Parquet takes its inspiration from American barns and has every element you'd expect from a natural floor, including the variance. This is also a herringbone format, so you can add an interesting design element to break up the floor.
The Karndean Van Gogh Warm Brushed Oak Parquet is another herringbone from the collection. This floor has been finished with Karndean's new wood grain emboss feature, which means the floor feels like a natural oak floor.
The Karndean Van Gogh Grey Brushed Oak is an on-trend and stylish LVT and is a perfect choice if you're a fan of the grey interior trend. The undertones of this floor add interest, and it's been finished with the wood grain emboss to give you that natural feel.
