Questions & Answers

we are considering the vinyl flooring for a communal area in a community building. Will the vinyl be damaged by ladies wearing stiletto type heels

Asked by Adele hammond on 16 Mar 2017

1 Answer

Hi Adele It is possible that high heels could damage this floor. For commercial areas we would recommend a product with a high wear layer, like Karndean Da Vinci or Karndean Opus or Quickstep Livyn Plus.

Dear Sir/Madam We are thinking of purchasing a VAX Floormate to make floor cleaning easier than using a mop. As this appliance is not a steam cleaner will it be suitable for cleaning this flooring, please?

Asked by Bob Pounds on 10 Sep 2016

Hi Bob, We recommend against these machines too, I'm afraid. Please refer to the manufacturer guidelines on maintenance, which can be found here:

Good Afternoon Very suitable and very hard wearing for sure.

Hi, is it advisable to remove skirting boards prior to screening, and refix them after floor I'd complete? Thanks

Asked by Simon treacy on 08 Nov 2015

1 Answer

Good Afternoon Not really required for this flooring type (LVT glue down) to be honest. I would save the time and money removing your skirting and fix the flooring up to the wall (leaving a small gap) and filling the gap with a bead of silicone.
