- Waterproof: Glue down LVT is completely waterproof so it is perfect for rooms prone to water spillages or high humidity.

- Versatile: Glue down LVT is highly resistant to changes in heat and therefore doesn't warp. This means you can use it for areas that see regular changes in temperature.
- Suitable for underfloor heating: Luxury vinyl floors are very efficient at allowing heat to pass through making them ideal for use in rooms with underfloor heating. However, some glue down floors do have an upper-temperature limit, so it is best to double-check first.
Glue Down LVT Tiles and Planks
The beauty of glue down luxury vinyl is the abundance of colours, patterns and designs available. Luxury vinyl flooring can either be cut into planks to mimic hardwood or tiles to mimic a ceramic effect and can be found in light and dark colours such as white or black or even shades of brown.
Glue downwood effect LVT couples the traditional look of real hardwood flooring with the durability of vinyl. This means you can have that wooden flooring look in areas of the house where it might otherwise be unsuitable such as bathrooms, where the humidity makes wood an unsuitable choice.
For a patterned wood effect floor, glue down LVT in parquet effect gives the look, with all the benefits of an LVT floor. Whereas the planks in wood effect are laid straight, this type of LVT is laid in eye-catching geometric patterns such as the popular Herringbone design. If you want your luxury vinyl floor with more x-factor, parquet is the way to go.
Glue down LVT tiles in stone effect is cut to look exactly like ceramic tiles. Whereas ceramic tiles are prone to scratches and chips, glue down luxury vinyl tiles are much more resilient and can feel warmer underfoot.

How Does Glue Down LVT Flooring Differ From Locking or Looselay?
Glue down LVT flooring is exactly what it says. It requires an adhesive to stick it down onto the subfloor. This differs from both locking system LVT which clicks together and loose-lay luxury vinyl which uses a grippy underneath. Whilst loose-lay or locking system are considered more DIY-friendly, glue down can be more durable as the adhesive bonds directly onto the subfloor rather than floating on top of the subfloor. All types of LVT offer a myriad of designs along with unfading toughness.
Glue down flooring is also more personalisable as you can choose your own design and feature strips to complement your design. Further, you do not need an underlay as glue down luxury vinyl adheres directly to the subfloor. However, you do need to ensure that the subfloor is appropriate for LVT flooring considering several factors such as moisture.
