Questions & Answers

As per the Vintage Timer 2220 e.g what is the line color you used to put between the tiles when they are put down? Do you do install or recommend an installer that can do the different designs, If so how much +/- does it cost?

Asked by Annelise from Guildford on 12 Nov 2020

1 Answer

Hi there - they have used a Brown feature strip to get the ships decking effect - https://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/product/10770/karndean_coffee_design_strip_3mm__w__x_2mm__t_ You don't have to use design strips - but a fitter shouldn't charge too much more for a simple design strip like the one in the image. If you give our teal a call on 0800 999 8100 they can help get you in touch with a recommended fitter local to you.

Which of your floorings is non-slip ?

Asked by Ken oasgood from Burnham-on-Sea on 21 Jul 2019

1 Answer

Hi there, Unfortunately none of the floors we sell at the moment are classified as non-slip or slip proof. Our vinyl's are slip resistant and provide good grip in a domestic or lightly commercial environment.

Will the sun damage it

Asked by Don Crofton from Sudbury on 20 Mar 2018

1 Answer

Hi Don, all PVC flooring will experience some bleaching in direct sunlight, however, our floors are designed to resist the effect of UV lighting to minimise the effects.

how do you join two edges of lino please

Asked by carmel choron on 26 Aug 2017

1 Answer

Hi Carmel, this floor is made from individual, rigid tiles of vinyl, rather than big sheets. The tiles are glued down to secure them. If you'd like full details on how to install this floor, please check out the official instructions here: https://static.flooringsupplies.co.uk/downloads/Installation/Vinyl/PolyflorTileInstallation.pdf

Asked by Janice gilfillan from Gloucester on 13 Dec 2015

1 Answer

Good Afternoon The dimensions of each board are: 914.4mm (length) x 152.4mm (wide) x 2mm (thick)

Can this product be applied loose or does it need to be glued in a sitting room

Asked by Janice gilfillan from Gloucester on 12 Dec 2015

1 Answer

Good Morning this product requires glue direct down to the subfloor, but for more informative installation instruction you can visit this link: https://static.flooringsupplies.co.uk/downloads/Installation/Vinyl/PolyflorTileInstallation.pdf We do however have many LVT floors which do not require gluing down which you can view here, if thats works better for you: https://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/vinyl/1/brand/wood-effect/range/edging/price/colour/offer/locking-system

Hi, we have a concrete floor with a latex finish with NO underfloor heating. Can you recomend an alternitive adhesive for this product than F48 heatproof. Thanks

Asked by Chris from Norfolk on 07 Dec 2015

1 Answer

Hi Chris, This product is a similar alternative which would work perfectly with your floor: https://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/accessories/18/karndean_high_temperature_adhesive

We are thinking about all the options for a kitchen floor with a concrete base. There seem to be pros and cons for laminate and engineered wood, so we're looking at vinyl. I like Karndean, but as it's going on a concrete floor we are very concerned that it will be cold (no insulation under the concrete) Does the polyfloor have any thermal properties? If we were laying laminate/wood we'd lay a thermal/moisture underlay.

Asked by christine mearing from United Kingdom on 13 Mar 2015

1 Answer

Good Morning Christine I'm afraid to say it doesn't appear that this product has a measurement to define how warm or cold this product can or cannot get. However, based on my experience i can say this product isn't cold like ceramics but isn't warm like realwooden floor. Here is the technical performance stats if it helps: http://www.polyflor.com/jh/products.nsf/vCountrySpecificTechnical/CamaroLocPU/$file/Camaro%20LOC%20PP%20APPROVED%2028.8.14.pdf

Are there any types of floor this should not be put down over? We have (bitumastic?)

Asked by Jenni Cave from lutterworth on 07 Jan 2014

1 Answer

With a Bitumen based sub floor it is not guaranteed that the adhesive will work used directly onto it. Ideally you would use a 6mm ply board then a feathering compound to smooth the joints and glue onto this. Alternatively you can screed over (please refer to manufacturers directions) using the relevant screed.

Is this flooring suitable for a conservatory & on underfloor heating?
