Questions & Answers

Is this adhesive suitable for use with electric underfloor heating?

Asked by will austin from reading on 07 Nov 2019

1 Answer

Hi there, We would recommend the high temperature adhesive with underfloor heating.

hi , Can you tell me please , can I use karndean floor adhesive directly on a chipboard floor , or will I need to skim it first

Asked by gene hemmings from crewe on 27 Apr 2017

1 Answer

Hi Gene, as long as the subfloor is flat, level and dry then it'll be fine. If the chipboard is uneven though, then it will need to be covered in a screed.

Hi - will this be ok to use in a cloakroom to lay some Michelangelo tiles please

Asked by Alecks Dally on 16 Jan 2017

1 Answer

Hi Alecks, assuming the floor is laid in a room where there is little moisture or temperature change then it's a great adhesive to use.

Can you please tell me if this Pressure Sensitive Adhesive will be fine to lay vinyl tiles over my existing vinyl floor in my kitchen ?

Asked by Zygimantas Debesys on 09 Dec 2016

1 Answer

Hi Zygimantas, I'm afraid this adhesive needs a porous surface, which vinyl tiles are not. You'll have to remove the old vinyl first and apply this adhesive to the subfloor. However, if that's not an option, we supply LVT floors with a locking joint, which can be installed on an underlay over the top of the old vinyl floor. You can see our range of locking floors here: https://www.flooringsupplies.co.uk/lock-together-vinyl-floors

What is the sq metre spead for 2.5 litre pressure sensitive adhesive. Thanks in advance
