  Seagrass grows in the tropical climates of China and Vietnam, in coastal meadows on the banks of the rivers. The natural fibre is harvested by hand, dried and hand spun into cords before being woven into flooring. The yarn has impermeable properties and as such is very difficult to dye or stain so in most cases it comes in it natural green colour or a slight brown shade Being a natural product there can be inconsistencies in colour and the weave which is normal and is considered part of its natural charm. Seagrass is woven into a few styles - natural weave herringbone both in standard and fine versions and a chunky basket weave the herringbone is also available with a coloured weft of sisal that brings colour to the Seagrass Seagrass is recommended for medium domestic and light contract situations and can be laid throughout your home however we do not recommend Seagrass to be installed on the stairs

The look can be fashionably chunky or beautifully fine and part of its charm lies in its naturally flawed finish. With its natural hues Seagrass is available in Natural Basketweave and Herringbone designs.
