October 2003 - Winners of the Sage Business Awards 2003
We are delighted to be winners of 2003's prestigious award - Fast Growth Through Use of Technology.
"As a business develops and grows, the need for an IT system which can help manage business processes efficiently and effectively becomes a priority. Using technology to help run a business is not about doing things differently but harnessing technology to help do things smarter. Streamlining business processes can help free-up time to concentrate on growing your business. For example, computerising accounts can save days of tedious number crunching, or implementing a customer relationship management system can help you target your customers more effectively with new products or services. The Business Awards panel want to see a direct correlation between the implementation of an IT solution and growth in profits, customer base or employees over the past 12 months. And, remember, it doesn't have to be an all-singing, all-dancing solution - quite often the smallest IT changes can make all the difference."
The awards are intended to reward businesses of all sizes with a range of honours. They are aimed at reflecting good business practices, superior leadership, impressive customer service and imaginative and innovative use of the web.
What's more, these awards are designed not just to commend UK entrepreneurs starting out in business but also to reward more established companies which continue to thrive and grow. This is an awards programme which encompasses the entire UK business world.
These Awards are now in their sixth successful year and this is the second year that The Daily Telegraph has teamed up with Sage as sponsors. Last year, the number of awards was increased and the categories were expanded to include larger companies as well as small and growing businesses. This means, of course, that more companies now have the chance of receiving an honour.
The awards are part of The Daily Telegraph's ongoing commitment to supporting British businesses, whatever their size.
