Is vinyl slippery?

Our vinyl floors have excellent slip resistanceWhen kept clean and dry, vinyl floors have excellent slip resistance. However, in common with other smooth floorcoverings, water and other liquids such as grease etc on the surface of the floor can make them slippery.

Poor maintenance can also lead to a slippery floor, which can cause accidents. Please ensure you choose the correct maintenance products carefully. Products containing soap or unsuitable detergents such as washing up liquid leave a hard-to-remove film on the surface which can detract from the appearance and may be slippery.

OVERSPRAY FROM AEROSOL SPRAYS CONTAINING SILICONES WILL CAUSE THE FLOOR TO BECOME SLIPPERY.

Food, chemicals or other foreign matter on the floor surface will also cause them to be slippery. Any spillages must be cleaned up immediately. Our advice is to be sensible, if there is excess moisture on the surface of the floor make sure it is cleaned up etc.
