Q&A

Due to a manufacture problem the Kahrs edging is not in stock and the date continues getting moved. Please can you tell me if this could be used instead for the Kahrs Engineered Hampshire range, 15mm board.

Asked by Christine Macpherson on 05 Jul 2017

1 Answer

Hi Christine, yes, this is a perfect alternative - only different in terms of length and price.

Hi, can this trim be fitted on to a slate hearth, need to cover sharp edges for toddler granddaughter Would be grateful for any help

Asked by Jeanette White from East Lothian Scotland on 27 Jun 2017

1 Answer

Hi Jeanette, yes, that should be fine.

This product appears to be exactly what I'm looking for to finish where our aluminium patio doors and fireplace hearth meet a 14mm Elka engineered brushed/oiled floor, but I've been advised that this product effectively closes the expansion gap and could void our floors warranty. Can this product be used safely with an engineered floating floor?

Asked by Gary Redmond from Haslemere on 02 May 2017

1 Answer

Hi Gary, don't worry, this product is designed to be used with engineered floors so will work perfectly!

Do these come with a plastic or metal bar retaining strips that sit underneath for it that it sits in to hold in place?

Asked by Simon M on 17 Mar 2017

1 Answer

Hi Simon This strip fixing does not have a track with trim so you would glue down directly to sub-floor.

Can this be used to go between carpet and ceramic tile around a hearth? Thanks.

Asked by Mrs Weser on 28 Aug 2015

1 Answer

Good Morning Yes it can and have used this product for this purpose in my own home.

Does this come 'unfinished' for you to apply your own stain etc, or does it have a clear laquer or other finish?

Asked by C Woods on 04 Jan 2015

1 Answer

Hi there These come with a satin lacquer applied. This can be sanded and a new finish applied if you wish. We cannot supply these unfinished ourselves.
